My treatment team recommended a monitoring program as an added layer of accountability and positive reinforcement during early recovery. For me, Soberlink was voluntary, and I found it to be a helpful part of my program. Having independent oversight was a needed incentive to work a good program and not give in to temptation. It also allowed me to establish a pattern of sobriety that I could use to secure shared custody of my daughter. I am very grateful to have recently celebrated three years of continuous sobriety, and would recommend Soberlink to anyone that is looking for an added incentive to stay sober, as well as provide some peace of mind to a co-parent and/or concerned family members.
